Lip Enhancement
(Dermal Fillers)
Lip enhancement with dermal fillers uses hyaluronic acid to add volume, refine lip shape, and improve symmetry. The results are immediate and typically last 6–12 months, depending on the product and individual metabolism.
Contraindications:
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Active herpes or cold sore in the area
Known allergy to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine
Autoimmune conditions (consultation required)
Procedure:
A numbing cream should be applied to the lips at least 30 minutes prior to the injection to ensure comfort. This cream will be provided in advance by the doctor or can be purchased at a pharmacy without a prescription. On the day of treatment, the lips are cleansed and the filler is strategically injected using a fine needle or cannula. The procedure takes 15–30 minutes. Swelling, tenderness, or bruising are common but temporary.
Aftercare:
Avoid touching or massaging the lips for 24 hours
Refrain from kissing, makeup, or extreme heat/cold the same day
Swelling and bruising may last 1–5 days
Avoid dental appointments for 2 weeks post-injection
