Hyperhidrosis – Regaining Confidence and Dry Comfort

Excessive underarm sweating, also known as primary axillary hyperhidrosis, can be incredibly frustrating. It’s more than a cosmetic issue; it affects daily life, clothing choices, and confidence.

Many patients I treat have tried every over-the-counter product available, but Botox is often the first real solution that brings lasting results. The treatment works by blocking the nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands.

We begin by disinfecting the underarm area, then apply a grid to guide the injection pattern. Around 10–15 tiny injections are made in each armpit. No numbing is required, and the procedure takes just a few minutes.

Most patients return to normal activities immediately. Results usually start within a few days and can last up to 6–9 months. One of my clients, a fitness instructor, used to bring multiple shirts to work every day. Since starting Botox, she confidently leads classes without worrying about sweat marks or odor.
